Quick Start

This guide takes you from a new account to live automation monitoring. Plan on about 15 minutes — most of it spent in the SFMC setup screens.

Before you begin #

You will need:

  • Access to the Nimbus web app.
  • An SFMC Business Unit you can administer.
  • Permission in SFMC to create an installed package (for API credentials) and to publish a CloudPage.

1. Sign in and onboard #

Open Nimbus and sign in. New accounts are taken straight into a short onboarding wizard:

  1. Profile — your name and timezone.
  2. Organization type — choose End User if you run your own marketing, or Agency if you manage clients.
  3. Plan — pick a plan, or start a free trial. No card is required to begin a trial.
  4. Connect SFMC — the credential and CloudPage steps below.

2. Create SFMC API credentials #

In SFMC, create a server-to-server installed package and copy four values:

  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • MID (the Business Unit's Marketing Cloud ID)
  • Authentication Base URI — the https://mcXXXXXX.auth.marketingcloudapis.com/ URL

3. Enter your credentials #

Back in Nimbus, enter the Business Unit name, MID, subdomain, Client ID, and Client Secret. Nimbus validates the credentials immediately — if the OAuth check fails, nothing is saved.

When the credentials pass, Nimbus encrypts and stores them, registers the ENS webhook, and begins deploying the CloudPage snippet.

4. Deploy the CloudPage snippet #

Nimbus shows you a block of AMPScript code. In SFMC:

  1. Create a CloudPage (a code resource page doesn't consume Super Messages).
  2. Paste in the snippet.
  3. Publish it and copy the published URL.
  4. Paste that URL back into Nimbus and click Verify.

5. Watch events arrive #

Once a Business Unit is connected, run an automation in SFMC (or wait for a scheduled one). Within seconds you will see it on the Events page, and the Home dashboard will start showing live counters.
